The boutique is committed to prepare the comprehensive and creative potion, which can revitalise the body and mind. The consumptions of this potion are energising the skins. The potion is prepared with natural oil, herbal, and plant extracts and these ingredients are much beneficial for human skin and health (Smyth 2013). The study will be structuring the strategic marketing plan for launching this product in Australian market. The establishment of the SMART objectives will be beneficial for understanding the aim of the strategic marketing process. The discussion of the core strategy and marketing mix plan will be developed in this study. Marketing Objectives Concentrating on the product launch factors, the following objectives will be preferable for structuring the marketing plan. To understand the market demands of the herbal potion in Australian Market Specific This objective is specific because it derives the knowledge about the demands of the herbal products in the Australian market. Measurable It is measurable because the responses from the customers can be measured to identify the demands. Attainable It is attainable because the product brand can get hold of the customers responses. Realistic It is realistic because the responses derived from the customers will determine the establishment of the marketing functionalities. Time Bound The information can be gathered in the first week of the marketing process undertaken by the boutique. To achieve almost 10% of the benefits by selling the products among the Australian customers. Specific This objective is specific because it is provides the knowledge regarding the business motif. Measurable It is measurable because there is the specific measurement of the expected benefits. Attainable It is attainable because the demands of the products, which are good for health and skin. Realistic It is realistic because achieving the expected amount is quite real since the market demands are preferable. Time Bound Within 12 months, the target is expected to be achieved. Marketing Strategy The boutique provides the health vitalising treatments by providing the moisturising potion that energises the body and minds (Peppers and Rogers 2012). In this current world, people are much conscious about their health and healthy living (Fifield 2012). Moreover, after the hectic schedule, people appreciate the relaxed atmosphere. In addition to this, the effective health and skin care products are much demanding for the health conscious people in Australia. The SWOT analysis process is providing the insightful knowledge regarding the marketing opportunities considered by this organisation. However, concentrating on the underlying issues and identified opportunities, the proper marketing strategies are needed to be taken into account. It is noted that the application of Porters Generic Strategy would be much fruitful in establishing the proper marketing strategies. Michael Porter introduced the strategic model for ensuring the competitive business establishment. Porters generic mod el includes four different dimensions, such as cost leadership, differentiation, cost focus, and differentiation focus. The analysis of these different dimensions is described further: Cost Leadership According to Westwood (2013), porters generic strategies are formulated for achieving the competitive edge more significantly. The cost leadership strategy is one of the major components in this strategic model. It involves the overall cost of the market or the industry. In case of Australian Certified Organic Potion, it is necessary to gather the ideas about the market demands. If the market demands are high then the higher price of the products or services will be beneficial. However, it is noted that majority of the customers ignore the high pricing structure (Morgan et al. 2012). On the other hand, keeping the product price extreme lower decreases the product value in the market. Therefore, it is necessary for the boutique to structure the pricing factor in a competitive way. The efficient logistic system will be much helpful in such cases. The capital amount is needed to be invested in the application of the innovative technologies. In fact, cutting costs from the competitors will also be much beneficial for the boutique to promote the products. Differentiation Strategy The differentiation strategy is determining the unique characteristics of the products or services that are offered to the customers (Tanwar 2013). If the product or service features are unique to the customers, it will gather their attention more significantly. Hence, Australian Certified Organic Potion boutique needs to keep the focus on the value added services for the potential customers. In such regards, the boutique needs to be much attentive towards the functionalities, durability, and features of the offered health and skin care products and service. The maintenance of the proper innovative services and high quality products will be effective enough in drawing the attention of the customers. The Focus Strategy and focus differentiation The focus strategy is mainly concentrating on the particular market niches or dynamic environment. While introducing the product or service in the market, the company or any institution needs to pay the attention on the particular market segment, such as market competition, product or service demands, or the pricing strategy (Tanwar 2013). Concentrating on such particular market niches is much fruitful for understanding the product or service requirement for facilitating growth opportunity in the competitive market. Keeping the focus by analysing the differentiation of the features will be much beneficial in generating the customers supports in this competitive business environment. Concentrating on the above analysis, it is noted that the Australian Certified Organic Potion boutique needs to pay attention to the unique features of the products or services that are to be offered to the customers in Australia. The maintenance of the uniqueness is fruitful for gathering the supports from the potential customers (Kotler et al. 2015). Moreover, the proper communication with the customers will suggest the specific needs that are effective enough in strengthening the competitive position of the business. Marketing Programme The above analysis is providing the insightful ideas about the relevant marketing strategy that can be undertaken for establishing the competitive position in the business market. However, considering the suitable marketing strategy, it is necessary to structure the marketing programme by analysing the 4ps of marketing. These 4ps of marketing is descried further: Product: The body and soul vitalising products are offered to the people in Australia. It is noted that the customers have been leading the hectic life by spending their time in office, colleges, schools, and other activities (Ibrahim 2015). Therefore, they appreciate the body vitalising services and health and skin care products. It provides them the enough relaxations that are necessary for dealing with the regular hectic life. Hence, the product features are essentially needed to be described to the customers. It will be launched in the Australian market and will be in a trial period of 12 months. If the products create the traffic buzz, it will be launched for the lifetime period. Price: The pricing structure is necessarily needed to be implemented in a competitive way. It is noted that many of the people ignore the products or service due to the high prices. On the contrary, if the quality of the products is high, it will create effects on the customers minds (Resnick et al. 2016). They will be willing to purchase the products at any cost. However, in order to provide the quality products or services to the customers, it is necessary to invest the capital amount on the innovative technologies. The maintenance of the proper pricing structure ro=to draw the attention of the customers. Place: The place or the distribution channel is one of the major components for structuring an efficient marketing plan (Smyth 2013). It is noted that the people in Australia are much health conscious. This product may create the significant buzz among the adults and young people. The products thus can be kept in common grocery shops, medical centres, nearby parlours, or any other nearby accessories shops. Promotion: Product promotion is one of the most beneficial processes of gathering the customers supports. The effective promotional process helps in conveying the messages to the customers regarding the products features and usefulness (Peppers and Rogers 2012). However, it is necessary to select the proper media for promotional activities. The boutique can select TV, hoardings, leaflets or pamphlets for making the customers aware. The most preferable media of promoting such products is via online media sources. People go though many of the search engines for health or skin tips. Therefore, promoting the products in the online media channel would be much beneficial in gathering the responses of the customers (Hollensen 2015). Moreover, the traffic buzz created in the social media sites would be much helpful in determining the positive word of mouth. Hence, with the help of such structured programme, the entire marketing plan is needed to be executed much significantly. References Fifield, P., 2012.Marketing strategy. Routledge. Job Stress Essays - Economic Ideologies, Working Time,
Job Stress The official working week is being reduced to 35 hours a week. In most countries in the world, it is limited to 45 hours a week. The trend during the last century seems to be less work, more play. Yet, what may be true for blue-collar workers or state employees is not necessarily so for white-collar employees. It is not rare for these people lawyers, accountants, consultants, managers, academics to put in 80 hour weeks. This trend is so widespread and its social consequences so known that it acquired the unflattering nickname workaholism, a combination of the words work and alcoholism. Family life is disrupted, intellectual horizons narrow, the consequences to the workaholics health are severe: fat, lack of exercise, stress take their toll. Classified as alpha types, workaholics suffer three times as many heart attacks as their peers. But what are the social and economic roots of this phenomenon ? Put briefly, it is the result of the blurring borders and differences between work and leisure. The distinction between these two types of time the one dedicated to labor and the one spent in the pursuit of ones interests was so clear for thousands of years that its gradual disappearance is one of the most important and profound social changes in human history. A host of other shifts in the character of the work and domestic environments of humans converged to produce this momentous change. Arguably the most important was the increase in labor mobility in the workplace. The transitions from agricultural to industrial, then to the services and now to the information age. and knowledge societies, each, in turn, increased the mobility of the workforce. A farmer is the least mobile. His means of production are fixed, his produce was mostly consumed locally because of lack of proper refrigeration, preservation and transportation methods. A marginal group of people became nomad-traders. This group exploded in size with the advent of the industrial revolution. True, the bulk of the workforce was still immobile and affixed to the production floor. But raw materials and the finished products traveled long distances to faraway markets. Professional services were needed and the professional manager, the lawyer, the accountant, the consultant, the trader, the broker all emerged as both the parasites of the production processes and the indispensable components to any enterprise. Then came the services industry. Its protagonists were no longer geographically dependent. They rendered their services to a host of employers in a variety of ways and geographically spread. This trend accelerated today, at the beginning of the information and knowledge revolution. Knowledge is not locale-bound. It is easily transferable across boundaries. Its short-lived quality gives it a-temporal and non-spatial qualities. The location of the participants in the economic interactions of this new age are geographically transparent. These trends converged with an increase of mobility of people, goods and data (voice, visual, textual and other). The twin revolutions of transportation and of telecommunications really reduced the world to a global village(Idea stolen from Mrs. Clinton). Phenomena like commuting to work and multinationals were first made possible. Facsimile messages, electronic mail, other modem data transfers, the Internet broke not only physical barriers, but also temporal ones. Today, virtual offices are not only spatially virtual, but also temporally so. This means that workers can collaborate not only across continents but also across time zones. They can leave their work for someone else to continue in an electronic mailbox, for instance. These last technological advances precipitated the fragmentation of the very concepts of work and workplace. No longer the three Aristotelian dramatic unities. Work could be carried out in different places, not simultaneously, by workers who worked part time whenever it suited them best, Flextime and work from home are quickly replacing commuting as the preferred venue of the workplace. This fits exactly into the social fragmentation, which characterizes todays world. The disintegration of previously cohesive social structures, such as the nuclear (not to mention the extended) family. This was all neatly wrapped in the ideology of individualism which was presented as a private case of capitalism and liberalism. People were encouraged to feel and behave as distinct, autonomous units.

SAT Standard Deviation What Does It Mean for You
SAT Standard Deviation What Does It Mean for You SAT / ACT Prep Online Guides and Tips If you've ever glanced through any of the year-end College Board data reports, you may have seen information about the SAT standard deviation. Unfortunately, the reports just list the numbers and then move on, without explaining at all what these numbers mean. So how is info about the SAT mean and standard deviation useful to you? In this article, weââ¬â¢ll explain what the term standard deviation refers to and what it means for you and your SAT score. Feature image credit: Bell Curve by Abhijit Bhaduri/Flickr Bonus: Looking for the very best guides to every SAT section? Check out our top guides for every single section of the SAT. These are the very best guides available on boosting your SAT score, section by section. They're written by Harvard grads and perfect SAT scorers. Don't disappoint yourself - read these guides and improve your score today. What Is the SAT Standard Deviation? The standard deviation of a set of numbers measures variability. Standard deviation tells you, on average, how far off most people's scores were from the average (or mean) score. The SAT standard deviation is195 points, which means that most people scored within 195 points of the mean score on either side (either above or below it). SAT standard deviation is calculated so that 68% of students score within one standard deviation of the mean, 95% of students score within two standard deviations of the mean, and 99+% of students score within three standard deviations of the mean. If the standard deviation of a set of scores is low, that means most students get close to the average score (in this case, 1060). This is pretty clearly not the case with the SAT, because otherwise schools that boast 1300+ average SAT scores for admitted students would have no students. By contrast, if the standard deviation is high, then thereââ¬â¢s more variability and more students score farther away from the mean. Based on the most recent data released for the SAT, the standard deviation is relatively high, meaning that there is quite a bit of variability in how students score on the SAT. Below, weââ¬â¢ve created a table with the data about the SAT mean and standard deviation for each section of the test, as well as the mean and standard deviation for total SAT scores. SAT Participation and Performance Mean Standard Deviation Total 1060 195 EBRW 533 100 Math 527 107 Note: this table only includes data drawn from the most recent test scores of 2017 high school graduates. Hardeep Singh/Flickr What Does the SAT Bell Curve Look Like? The bell curve for SAT scores is pretty close to an ideal normal curve. Since the average score is higher than the midpoint of the range (1060 instead of 1000), it's a little shifted over to the right, but otherwise the SAT bell curve is a regular bell shape. Because the SAT standard deviation for total SAT scores is 195 and the mean is 1060, we can do a little quick math to figure out the score ranges for the first, second, and third standard deviation. % of SAT scores in range Total Score Range EBRW Range Math Range 68% 865-1255 433-633 420-634 95% 670-1450 333-733 313-741 99+% 475-1600 233-800 206-800 To help you better visualize the distribution of SAT scores, we've graphed out the SAT bell curve (in blue) for composite SAT scores (out of 1600) and added in lines for the mean and each of the standard deviations. The green line in the chart is the average SAT score (1060), while the lines on either side of the mean represent the boundaries of the different standard deviations. The two yellow vertical lines on the chart represent the first standard deviation scores, 865 and 1255. The scores of 68% of all students who took the SAT fall in between those two lines. The two orange lines on the chart represent the second standard deviation scores, 670 and 1450. The scores of 95% of all students who took the SAT fall in between the two orange lines (including the 68% who scored between an 865 and a 1255). The two red lines on the chart represent the third standard deviation scores, 475 and 1645. Technically, because the SAT only goes up to 1600, there are no students who scored above that, which is why the blue curve of all student SAT scores stops abruptly at 1600. The scores of about 99% of all students who took the SAT fall between the two red lines, with the remaining 1% falling below the leftmost red line (scores of 475 and below). Read our top college admissions guide today. Why Does the SAT Standard Deviation Matter? As a student, the exact details of the SAT bell curve and standard deviation aren't going to be all that relevant. Most of the info youââ¬â¢d get from standard deviations you can just as easily get from the information about your percentile rank that's included on your score report. For instance, knowing youââ¬â¢re in the 98th percentile is probably more useful to you than knowing youââ¬â¢re a little more than two standard deviations above the mean SAT score. Learn How Much Scores Vary The size of the standard deviation can give you information about how widely students' scores varied from the average. A larger standard deviation means there was more variation of scores among people who took the test, while a smaller standard deviation means there was less variance. As we discussed above, the SAT standard deviation is 195, which is relatively high and therefore indicates there's a lot of variation in scores among students who take the SAT. Practically speaking, this means that high-achieving students have to get relatively high scores in order to distinguish themselves. To do better than 98% of students on the SAT with a mean of 1060 and a standard deviation of 195, you must get a 1450 or higher on the test. Discover How Your Score Stacks Up The standard deviation of SAT scores is also useful information because it gives you a good general idea about how well you performed, compared to other students. Based on which standard deviation you fall into, you can even figure out your rough percentile score (if you don't know it). If your SAT score is more than one standard deviation above the average SAT score, then you did better than about 84% of students, which puts you in a strong position for most state schools (including UMass Amherst, University of Cincinnati, and UT San Antonio) and some private schools (like Pace University, Temple University, and Quinnipiac University). Similarly, if your score is more than two standard deviations above the mean SAT score, then you did better than around 97% of students, which is great and makes you a strong candidate for more competitive schools like NYU, UMich (Ann Arbor), and even Ivy-League schools like UPenn and Brown. On the other hand, if your score is more than one standard deviation below the mean, you definitely have your work cut out for you if you want to be a competitive applicant for most schools. Youââ¬â¢ll need to put in some serious study time to boost your score up to an 860+ score level. Bonus: Want to get a perfect SAT score? A Proposal for Defense Against the War on Christmas
A Proposal for Defense Against the War on Christmas A Modest Proposal for Defense Against the War on Christmas Leah Abrams Across this great and beautiful nation, bombs are dropping. Swords are being raised, grenades are being launched, and battalions are being activated. What aim do our aggressors pursue? What is the flag flown in this frightful fight? The bloody battle being waged against hard-working Americans everywhere is the most outrageous and troubling issue facing our generationâ⬠¦ The War on Christmas. The War on Christmas is just the next scheme on the liberal agenda attempting to turn us all into atheist, sexually immoral deviants. However, in recent years, they have escalated this ambush on Christmas spirit to an unprecedented extreme. At this point, the forced removal of Christ from the holiday season is the most preposterous violation of liberty in this nationââ¬â¢s history. Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached a juncture at which the Christmas season lasts only from November 1st to December 25th. I know- despicable. The War on Christmas is a threat to Christians everywhere. PC-police and social justice warriors are attempting to bring about a world in which we say ââ¬Å"happy holidaysâ⬠instead of ââ¬Å"merry christmas;â⬠a world in which Starbucks cups are merely red and green for a few weeks- with no sign of Christ, a tree, or Santa Claus on the entire cup. Where is our love for religion? Where is our dedication to Christian values? Where is our deeply held belief in Santa Claus, Rudolph, and that little New Yearââ¬â¢s Baby? Obama has even renamed the White House Christmas tree the ââ¬Å"Holiday Tree.â⬠Why must they target Christmas? I hold that Christmas remains the primary target of all grinches because it is objectively and undoubtedly the best holiday of all time. Our assailants know that they must defeat us by attempting to abait our Christmas cheer, by attempting to destroy our love of mistletoe, and by attempting to remove our favorite carols from malls across America. But we can withstand this injustice no longer. It is time to launch back with all of our effort, spirit, and stamina. It is time to muster all of our strength and defend the true Christmas spirit. For this reason, Iââ¬â¢ve drawn up a modest proposal for a counterattack in the heart wrenching War on Christmas. I propose that we pass a national law mandating an extension of the Christmas season to 365 days per year. You heard me right, folks. I am proposing a year-round celebration of Christmas. Every mall in the United States will echo with Christmas carols 24/7, spurring on Christmas gift shopping. Every home will be decorated with a fragrant, beautiful pine tree in its living room. Santa Clauses will be set up on every corner, and ABC Familyââ¬â¢s 25 Days of Christmas will become ABC Familyââ¬â¢s 365 Days of Christmas. Even better, federal law will require a detailed depiction of the crucifix on each and every grande Starbucks cup. Tall cups will be decorated with a holly wreath, and ventis will display the three wisemen. I suppose that my heartless opponents will attempt to find flaws in my foolproof plan. They may argue that celebrating Christmas all year round diverts attention from lesser-known, less important holidays- that itââ¬â¢s unfair to people who celebrate things like Divalidan or Chanukwanzah. However, Christmas is simply a better holiday, and deserves more attention, joy, and frenzy surrounding it. I know that people of other religions will agree, and eventually, through the constant celebration of Christmas, they will come around to join us. Never fear, dear readers, I have nothing to gain from this proposal. In fact, I am far from having any sort of monetary or power-seeking motive in this endeavor, as I do not celebrate Christmas. The war on Christmas is an inherent violation of our God-given right to shove our religion down everyone elseââ¬â¢s throats. Never again will someone tell me ââ¬Å"happy holidaysâ⬠or to enjoy my ââ¬Å"winter break.â⬠Itââ¬â¢s time to take a stand in defense of the Christmas spirit. My fellow Americans, join me in defending your Christian morals. Join me in defending Santa, Rudolph, and Frosty. Join me in celebrating the best movies, songs, and sweaters of all time. Join me in saying ââ¬Å"Merry Christmas-â⬠all year.

Opinion on economic issue Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Opinion on economic issue - Essay Example In this context, in order to identify the potential causes of the rising rental inflation in the US, the study has relied on varied academic articles and business reports. In accordance with the viewpoint of Madigan, the average rent of the apartments had increased to 3.1% in the US market during the last year in comparison to the year 2012 (Madigan, ââ¬Å"Why Rising Rents Havenââ¬â¢t Pumped Up Inflationâ⬠). On the other hand, Keely, Ark, Levanon, and Burbank, arguably claimed that the cost of housing property is decreasing in the US market in the recent days. In this regard, Keely, Ark, Levanon, and Burbank argued that the buying demand of the housing property has been dramatically reduced during the last few years in the US. Contextually, several economists have believed that rising price of food and energy has influenced the demand of real-estate in a negative manner (1-49). On the other hand, Madigan claimed that rising prices of medical services, education and communication services have indirectly affected the demand of the real-estate in the US marketplace (Madigan, ââ¬Å"Why Rising Rents Havenââ¬â¢t Pumped Up Inflationâ⬠). Ho wever, Keely, Ark, Levanon, and Burbank arguably claimed that the rental demand on the US market has dramatically increased in the last few years (1-49). In this regard, it can be asserted that financial crisis and high rate of interest as well as the mortgage burden has affected the demand of the household buyers. On the contrary, it has influenced the tendency of renting residential, which has caused high inflation in the domestic market place (Madigan, ââ¬Å"Why Rising Rents Havenââ¬â¢t Pumped Up Inflationâ⬠; Keely, Ark, Levanon, and Burbank 1-49). Based on the above discussion, it has been recognized that the cost of real-estate property has reduced in the US market due to high rate of interest. At the same time, it has been also recognized that 38.2% of the US population are associated with mortgage household property, which signify that the

Gas law Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words - 1
Gas law - Essay Example The independent variable in this chart is temperature whereas the dependent variable is volume. This corresponds to Charles law V/T = k From figure 3, it is seen that the volume of a gas decreases exponentially with the increase in pressure. Plotting the values of pressure against the inverse of the volume gives us Boyles law (PV = Constant) that states that at constant temperature the pressure of the gas is inversely proportional to the size. From the figure for it is observed that when the pressure is doubled the volume is reduced by half. The linear graph passes through the point of origin (0, 0). Air is a mixture of different gases that respond differently in different conditions. The ideal gas law provides provisions for incorporation of various gasses in a system. Therefore, air was a suitable choice for an ideal gas According to the ideal gas law PV=nRT, therefore at constant number of moles and temperature the pressure is inversely proportional to the volume and therefore obeys Boyles law. At constant n and P, V is directly proportional to T with increasing T, V will also increase. From the data calculated and represented in figures 1-3 the ideal gas law is experimentally defined. From figure 1, it has been seen that the volume is directly proportional to temperature at constant pressure. From figure 2 it is observed that the volume is directly proportional to temperature and from figure 3 and 4 it is observed that the volume is inversely proportional to pressure. All these are the ideas behind the ideal gas
